Does BF2 make you angry?

Yeah - I have evidence BF2 make me mad! I snapped my Keyboard in half today after playing for only 10 mins if that. It was not just BF2 tho I must say I did have other things on my mind too

It's a fickle beast.
Sometimes I come away elated and feeling like we rock. Other times it's sheer frustration at being blown away every 20 seconds due to some twat in a jet. This usually results in long bouts of swearing.
Usually if I have a negative K it's time to leave for me.

Aye, BF2 can be very irritating.
Pubic is right, it's the stats. They're always in the back of my mind!
That's why I like our server. It's always fun in there because it's not registered and I can enjoy dicking about or losing without repercussions.
Additionally after some more thought:
It gets frustrating when you're constantly destroyed by something you could have done nothing about. Getting bombed by jets (damn you Midge! That's why no-one wants to play against you in a plane), chopped up by choppers (furkin' HotStuff and his miscellaneous gunners!) or annihilated by artillery, are a recipe for disaster!
But if you balance that against the times when you and your squad are grinding up to a flag re-murdering teh f00lz who keep respawning in the path of the THN war machine and shizzle is exploding all around, both arty drops are on your head, planes are strafing your face, but you survive and capture the point! That's when the hero complex kicks in and it's all worth it.

It sometimes annoys the hell outta me, but other times its a good game. But what annoys me more is the noobs who crash a helicopter with you in it, somehow BF2 works it out that YOU are to blame for his lack of piloting skills so you are a teamkiller, then the idiot punishes you!

If the game didn't get you angry when you get your ass kicked then you wouldn't feel any excitment when you give it out.
Multiplayer gaming is personal - kicking someone's ass is a personally satisfying experience. Getting my ass kicked I personally find degrading and humiliating and I make it my personal purpose in life (for the next few minutes anyway) to take out the person that just killed me, just to "re-educate them" on who really is boss.
Anger is what makes us all better gamers, let the pulsing rage flow and destroy your enemies without mercy!

I've found that the flipside is that games who give you a headache, bloodshot eyes and make you grumpy, are also the most rewarding when you manage to win after a hard struggle. NS is still unmatched in that regard.
I find UT2004 Onslaught quite relaxing too, but somehow the reward is less when you win as well. Perhaps it's got something to do with being less team-based and more focussed on individual actions.

i must admit being crap at bf2 still makes me stressed but having u guys around helps. espesh last night. there were a nice group of 5 or 6 with me james and bambi and phryxus and twisto and lynx that made the game sooooo goood last night. we were all having fun and at the end playing well.
but it depends on how the game is going. i have learnt now that if i am stressed with it to have a break and come back to it later and stay untill i hvae a really good game and make myself feel better.
oh and choc helps!!!! yum yum. cant play bf2 without ur supplies!!

Yes..its very obvious that any game, be it physical or computer based, can make you very angry and frustrated.
But.. on the flip side, the euphoria of the victory can be one of the ultimate highs in life. Taking last nights ED clan match as an example: It was very hard fought and very desperate at times for Alpha squad. For the first two rounds, it was just me and Piac going up against a 4 man squad that had armour in support. We did more than hold them at bay, but you had this terrible feeling that no matter how hard or skillfully you played, you were on the losing side.
Going into the final round, we were 40ish points behind. And thats when the downheartedness started to go, and the grim determination set in. When somebody said there was only a minute to go and we were about 90ish points in front, giving us a comfortable win, I couldnt stop giggling with the excitement. When the counter finally got to Zero, I was actually punching the air in delight.
So yes, BF2 can make you feel like the whole world hates you, but it can also make you feel like you own the world as well.

Twisto, you tell it how it is, i have been known to try slam my fist down onto my keyboard after my 3rd artillery based death in a row, actually i'm surprised my keyboard still works actually
the best feeling in the world is dishing out the punishment, especially when you keep killing some annoying goit who got lucky earlier
