Right, I think it's time I brought this up.

Anyone with wc3 + FT should immediately http://getdota.com

And then get the AI patch as well, try it out a bit (VERY steep learning curve), and then start playing it with me. Games take between half an hour and an hour. Very addictive. Very fun.

If anyone's already playing it, post up here and we'll see if we can't do something about playing it some night.

Docbot I've been playing it for 6 months now and it is a fun game to play for those who are not into wow :) .
I'm always ready for some vir sitten in ventrilo i pleien dota :eek:

Cool, then we can sit here on ventrilo and play a little DotA, we push on and we're owning with the opponents we're toying. Sorry, just had to get on Docbot's nerves! :p

I played this game when I played Warcraft III, it was a brilliant game but I don't know if I can be bothered searching out the disks! ;)

I'm actually gonna ask again. This game is constantly getting updated, latest version is 6.43b. You can get it over here.

There is a fairly large community over at http://www.dota-allstars.com where you can find all info you'll ever need on the game.

For specific heroes (there are about 50 of them) you can usually find good tactics (i usually use it to get ideas on what items to get) over at http://dotastrategy.com


Now. Anyone who has Warcraft 3 and TFT and can be arsed to download this and have a go?

The learning curve, is, as mentioned before, steep, so ideally we should be at least 6 people. Preferrably 8 or 10. I'll host, and see if I we can't get some of you hooked. A game lasts usually between 40 minutes to an hour.

So, any takers? All we need is enough players go get a newbie game going. Even 4 interested would make one side of a newbie round.

I'll play i love WC3 + TFT just you lot never seemed to be interested in it when i used to play it. Oh well just make an event if you havnt done one already.

Sure, i'll play. I think we tried this with Duren a while back, Tbone and I, but I really needed some practise. It sounds very similar to the CnC Generals Art of Defence modmap.

I seem to have a mic problem at the moment but I'm sorting it, hopefully until tomorrow. We could try then.

I'm not bothering setting up an event on such short notice but I'll be here at 9 bst (i think it is? 10 o clock GMT+1 anyway). I'll be either on teamspeak or, if I haven't sorted it then, no xfire. We'll do some practise rounds :)

right, only nanor turned up, and that was by mistake, and also without the game. So, tonight sounds like a good night to try it, too :D

we could also play some tower defense, or pimps and b****es.

I also have a really hard puzzle game.

And if anyone has only got wc3, I'm sure there's some fun mods we could try for that too. Although TFT is more or less free now (I think I paid £15 for both).

Anyway, I'll be online tonight for most of the night so if anyone's interested, just come on TS.
