I picked up this game for my DS a couple of days ago... First impressions, very good!
This is typical Zelda, but in cel-shaded goodness (a-la Windwaker, but I never played that one) and using the stylus for all control functions. I was a little skeptical of using the stylus as the single control method at first, but it (mostly) does what you want it to.
The only issue I have with using the stylus is that I have an original DS, which is of course much heavier than the DS Lite, and with one hand permanantly using the stylus this means that I have only one hand for holding up a heavy DS for a long period of time. (Hence why you're getting this write-up )
There are the usual zelda-style story and introductions basically you (yet again) have to go and rescue Princess Zelda after she is taken away by an evil force, and yes, you are stuck with one of those sodding faries talking to you all the time and telling you what to do.
The animation style is much more cartoony, however. For instance, Link looks much more like the child he is supposed to be and as part of that he sometimes acts like one. There is one part near the start where someone picks you up and shakes you about like a rag-doll, and just like in cartoons, he ends up falling to the floor with massive black spirals for eyes and stars fluttering everywhere!
I am liking and enjoying this game so far, and there is an online battle mode which I havent looked at yet so if any of you lot out there also get this we shall have to hook up and see what its all about
