I have been reading up a lot on recent events, changes and plans for expanding Eve Online into a 1st person movement perspective. Of course most Eve Online players are drooling over the Incarna expansion, due out middle of next year, but those that have little interest in flying ships around and just want to shoot stuff will find Dust 514 a rather nice alternative way of adding to that universe.
To the sceptics and those that think it would be just like any other FPS game released on console, think again. Dust 514 will use the current wars ongoing in the mainstream Eve Online game, allowing you to fight on virtually every planet on Eve, so long as they have a war going on (and have mercinaries deployed in the area). What makes it unique is that it the battles are as expansive as, say, the Battlefeild series, or MAG, but can potentially have the intensity and general fun as the CoD series.
