Hello,
I am Aelisha aka Darren Smith of NERF Alliance; EVE online. As you may have heard, there is an upcoming MMOFPS called DUST514, which will be pivotal for securing and claiming planets. This will be a console based game, and as aforementioned, it will be a direct tie in with Planetary Control in EVE. The release schedule is currently unknown, but is apparently later this year.
I will cut to the chase however. NERF Alliance requires a strong militia to use or hire as required, but most of all seeks (much like this forum we are honoured to be a part of) to share the enjoyment of gaming, be it frivolous, competitive or otherwise meaningful. To this end, I am asking the leaders among you to step forwards and show your mettle.
If you are interested in leading men, being one of those men, or administrating the organisational side of FPS battles online, we are seeking SC (Squad Command) personell in the following games:
COD4
CODMW2
MAG
CODWaW
(EDIT: Please suggest other 'realistic' FPS games for console. PC is not inculded as although I personally prefer PC for FPS, DUST is not deploying on PC for the forseeable.)
On all consoles for which they may be released. Squad Commanders are only required to call 'events' every now and again, effectively partying up with fellow clan members and getting to grips with comms discipline, and mutual enjoyment of any and all games played as a team.
This may just become a one/multi game event outside of DUST for you and I welcome all developments that lead to people enjoying themselves.
The end result, from the Alliance perspective, is we will have a group of Squad Commanders, and their respective men, interested and raring to charge into battle to decide the fate of planets for this forums very own EVE Alliance.
Any other game suggestions are welcome, as are suggestions for the as yet unnamed Boot Camp Clan.
In closing, this post for the TL;DR:
- Need Squad Commanders to lead THNers/others in online FPS battles and build cameraderie.
- Need admins to oversee/organise any event matches for said SCs (SCs can be their own admin if they want, otherwise these guys are your right hand).
- Need people interested in fun, not finger pointing or crate snatching. Clean fun as a team for a team.
