I've never understood the hatred of EA. They've made a large amount of my favourite games over the years and I plan to buy lots more of their games in the future.

I dont think its about the type or the quality of the games they produce, more that alot of games they produce are "unfinished" for want of a better word. Such as the large amount of patching required to bring BF2 to a playable state :p

EA Games are a bunch of tards for multiple reasons. The games that are released by them are usuall rushed, unfinished, unadvertised, etc.

For example, a game in production may be doing well and way ahead of schedule, so EA Games will change the release date for that game to come out earlier (putting a little added tension to the developers) but forget to move the advertising back with it. Therefore when the game is released, no-one knows about it until the advertising starts and by that time EA would have seen the gap with no sales and say "this game has not sold, therefore we are not going to make a sequal" or "this game did not do well, therefore we wont make many patches".

Another problem with EA is that the games they produce are not tested properly in the sense that other games are usually givign at least 6 months after the game finishes the bulk development stage. EA gives, at most, a month to iron out the more obvious problems and then releases the games and sorts the problems out when, and only when, they have already made a certain amount of money on that particular game already (they put patches on to solve issues and mainly so people can get interested in sequals if possible).

Cite some sources for that...

Besides, I think you'll find that a huge potion of this year's most innovative, polished games are all published by EA...

Do you mean games that already have been released or games that are about to be released?

Both.

Dead Space is out. Mirror's Edge is upcoming soon.

Last year we had Mass Effect, skate, and, if you want to count it, The Orange Box. (If you count that, EA is also publishing Left 4 Dead...)

I understand that it used to be cool to hate EA, but the complaints simply don't make any sense anymore.
