First the book, then the movie ... now the game (well the pc version anyhow - console versions have been out a little while already.).

For them thats interested in such things you may want a gander at the demo on offer to decide whether you'll bother with the real thing.

For them thats not ... get back to your cereal and forget this ever happened.

Hmm, only recently been seeing the adverts appearing on TV for the film. Didn't even realise there was a book, or even the idea of a game of it! The book any good? Gonna get the demo now.

The book is a standard dragon lance esque afair. I put it down after only a couple of pages but then I'm old and jaded and grew up reading every fantasy book under the sun. Hence its not bad per-se but its nothing new for those who have heavily sampled the genre. I will be giving it another go ... seems a shame to stop after only 2 pages

Well it was written by a wee kiddy American (privately educated at home, Billy-no-mates made his own world to live in), and published when he was 19. He comes across as a bit of a dick when ever I hear him quoted or read an interview with him . Though obviously that shouldn't affect my opinion .

Also Jonny Ross said Eragon was shit and badly cast. From looking at the trailers (equivalent to 2-pages ), I'd agree .

The game was also supposed to be a bit ... off. Soon as I saw the trailers I knew it was destined for the realms of trainwreck.

It's very rare that a film tie in game is every any good. Especially when they are released on every single format at once.

GoldenEye Also, all the Alien games have been quality. I bought Alien Trilogy for the PS1 off of eBay recently and its great fun, sitting alongside AvP2 as the greatest scary games I've ever played.

Ok I'll give you Goldeneye. AvP is a cheat since that wasn't based on a film really. Rather a combination of films.

I didn't really take to the Matrix game all that much. The combat was alright, but it all got a bit samey after half an hour; and the driving-shooting sequences were pretty dire. Then again, I didn't like Max Payne all that much so figures.

Yup, it was one of those "depends who you play it with". I played it with my housemate and it was oodles of fun. Running along the wall hoofing people in the face during slo-mo, who wouldn't love that?! Plus, like I mentioned, you get what is essentialy movie footage filmed just for you (Monica Bellucci and Jade Pinkett Smith having a smoochie anyone?!) .

It's trailer . Oh, and Condemned is excellent! Tres scarey, most of my friends won't play it for that reason, wussies .
