[EVE] EvE-ers of THN, Hear Me!

NISYN Aelisha

Hello,

It has been a while since I posted here, but I still talk with a few members of the community, notably Trax and Bob.

Due to Incursion content having hit tranquility, I was wondering if THN still had a central representative body within the EvE game?

If not, I would be happy to put my alliance (owned by a close cadre of friends, over half of whom are THN members) forwards as a safe-haven for those interested in one of two things: Wormholing or Incursions.

Our main focus will be on gathering enough bodies for Incursions, and to this end we have a recent corporate addition to our team to house any who are interested in all aspects of combat, and who prize self sufficiency and teamwork alike.

The secondary focus is to provide a community-centre and support network for ONE wormhole corporation that can show a demonstrable level of co-operation, teamwork and reliability.

I would like it if people could hold off on saying they will or won't be interested for now, and request that people throw ideas around. What do you want? Why do you want it? What should an Alliance provide, in your mind?

I firmly beleive you cannot get an entity to fit the desires of it's members, you have to have members who beleive in the institutions you have in place.

To this end, I would like to put forth discussion concerning NISYN Inc, on the following grounds:

- We are a CASUAL play Alliance. Respect for IRL responsibilities is paramount.
- Weekly Incursions are a goal. But they are not Mandatory.
- Activity is expected. Casual we may be, but dead weight will be ejected.
- Mutual Defence. Wardec? We fight together, win together and prosper.
- Invitation only. Consider this topic a tentative invite, subject to discussion.
- Respect. No political, racial or 'heavy' IRL talk. I have cable for that and so do you.
- Zero-tolerance on the above. No warnings before ejection for stepping over the IRL 'nonsense' line.
- Three-strikes for ingame serious offences (causing fleet-wipe due to ignorance, repeatedly passive aggression, etc).
- Laid back aside from dealing with SERIOUS (see examples above) trouble making.

With this in mind, I would like to put forward some ideas of how we can reflect the values of the larger THN EvE playing community:

- Every dog has his day. Anyone can start a fleet for ops, if they have the trust of the people signing up to it.
- Ship replacement ISN'T a policy. Fly what you can lose, but fly for fun!
- Inclusive, friendly community action. If you're in the Alliance, we don't have 'corp ops'. If it is happening on the calendar, you're blue-listed by default. Only corp leader meetings are closed.
- Multi-game environment. You're already on THN, you know how this works. EvE sucking today? Lost a pricey ship? Play some DoD or whatever with your Alliance mates instead!

These are just a few things I can think of currently. If you have anything to add, please do!

Remember, I am not looking for yes or no (unless site admins want to say they would rather I did not put my alliance forwards, which I would respect), but a discussion about the general desires and interests of our EvE playing THN community.

You never know, maybe some people interested in trialling EvE would like to do so with their community-members around them...

Fly safe, and discuss away!

NERF was the body of THN (through NIYSN and to a lesser extent HNW-R) So, I don't see much difference between now and then Daz :)

Though other people may have something to say.

i'm currently just building 4-5B a month of TII for fairly passive income, though might be looking to move rannis somewhere and become more active some point in the next couple of months.
especially as i'm now close to max on Logistics ( max reps, but only logi III though) and can fly the minnie HAC and almost the Command ships

Trax i think his point is more that back in the NERF days we got the permission of HNW before jumping in and calling shots, so it's just the courtesy of doing so again in case a bunch of the Eve players who were THNers first were planning on starting up something.

I could well be very much up for this, sounds like a good way for me to get back into the game a bit more and use some of the skills bobrek now has. Have reasonable command skills and am a lvl5 guardian pilot.

We have just stepped out of nullsec from STLR alliance and we are currently planning our next move. After having spent the past 2-3 months in Fade / Pure Blind regions (and the last month successfully invading Cloud Ring and Fountain regions) we are reluctant to returning to nullsec-type alliances. However we already received an invite to STLR's highsec / WH alliance and are planning to sit in there for a while, giving us that edge to return to NC space if / when we decide to return.

I would take you up on the offer of alliance, but unfortunatly the potential benefits in this current setup outweighs another THN one. We already received first-hand experience with incursions when the first one of the first to appear decided itself to be in our highsec mining constellation (fun fun)

All the best for to you and your team vonya. I trust you are well? Also great news on you having been to pure blind, I effectively learned to play eve there!

As mentioned in the op, I am more interested in discussing how THN would feel about nisyn flying the flag in game. Also the possibility of nisyn becoming a more active part of the THN community itself.

Kateryne is right when he replies to traxatas post, this thread is mainly aimed at gauging the level of interest, and providing a place for people, not corporations. As mentioned in the op, we are only looking for a wormhole corporation to meet the listed criteria, we have the other corporations in place and are basically offering our services as a community hub should people be without a profession, comrades or assistance.

Thank you all for your replies thus far, I look forwards to many more.

Fly safe,

Aelisha
