Hi,
Ok those of you who mine in the Pator area have probably met NEGR.
They fly round the Systems Sviepar Region, and basicly "Grief" the miners, mostly they will be in frigates, but dont underestimate this, cos they will be Assault Friagtes. What they do is:
Fly up to you, and drop a can next to your can, move all the ore from your can to thiers, and the wait.
You have a few options at this point, open fire at their ship. (Mistake, they know what they are doing, and will kill you)
Flip the can back, (Mistake, thier entire corp can now attack you for the next 15 mins)
Fly to your ship store and change ship, to
a) A hauler, warp back to the can, steal back the ore as you are warping back to station. Good plan if you can pull it off, and dont mind hiding in station for 15 mins.
b) A Kick Arse Combat Ship, this may or may not work, BUT their HQ is in Isendeldik, so THEY have good combat ship ready.
They are imfamous in that area for this, and if you visit thier Killboard you will see they make quite alot of money/kills from it.
Now Hexstoof as a corp has had two official WARs with them, both of which ended in low score draws, and many many many minor fights, (Which they, I have to admit, tend to win), they WILL war dec you if you start to respond inforce to these can flips, AND they will WAR dec you if HEX start to respond to your calls for help. We do run "trap" mining opps to try and catch them, but its gotten to the point now that they tend to assume its a trap if we (Or Tegr;- Another Pator corp), are involved
If they do can flip you, just write the ore off as lost. There tends to be a shout go out in local when they appear, so keep and eye on that, AND put a shout out yourself if you see them.
They pick a corp every couple of week to WAR dec, (as do HEX), but they have a real score board and the like, so take it a LOT more seriously than we do. IF they do WAR dec you, we will definatly like to help thou.
