Oooooh our FIRST THN RAID instance organised by ourselves *jumps around excitedly*. This is a good starting raid instance as it only requires 20 people. It also does not require "attunement" or keys or anything else, just walk on up, open the door and you are in.
The Plan:
The plan is this. I want to encourage/cajole/bully up to 10 THN lvl 60's into signing up (or as many as possible failing that). We will form the core of the raid. We will then invite other people we know to sign up their interest (raid your friends lists guys !). If we still have not got 20 by this stage then I will post up on the WoW Europe scarshield forums. As a very last resort we will try and fill the gaps from the looking for group channel on the day. I'm guessing our friends lists are so brimming that we wont have an issue here.
The purpose of this raid is not a "phat loot" run. As such I wont be bothering with DKP (plain old group loot will suffice). Instead this is a fun run for a few of you to experience Zul Gurub for the first time and see how you stand up against the bosses in there.
Requirements for this run are:
At least 3, ideally 4 priests.
Two tanking spec warriors, ideally 3.
Everything else is negotiable.
Requirements:
Teamspeak and CT RAID are a must - get both installed and ready.
We will want 2 reserves to step in when others drop (they always drop!).
Those not in the instance 10 mins after the starting time will be kicked from the raid. Those who go afk for more than 10 minutes will also be kicked from the group. These measures are to ensure we all enjoy ourselves with the best group possible.
Aims and bosses:
Our aim is simple - we will try and kill High Priestess Jeklik.
Given past experience this is not a walk in the park so expect a few wipes, but it will be a good boss to cut our teeth on and see how we do.
If we do surprise ourselves and walk through it then we can consider going for High Priest Venoxis as well.
Resources:
Wowwiki Zul Gurub resources
Goblin Workshop (Zul Gurub guide and tactics)
Zul Gurub Map (printable)
Paragons of Power for classes (phat loot - drool but don't get obsessed by this!)
Sign up at the calendar entry provided and spread the word through your contact lists so that we can get plenty of non-THN involved as well.
Details are also provided via GEM in-game (channel thehaven) and on the Group Calendar (again in-game), if you haven't got either of these mods then they are worth getting.
See you all on Sunday.
