Got myself a copy of F.E.A.R today.
Ive noticed it has a multiplayer option.
Anybody else up for some online action?

I've never actually tried the multiplayer option, although I've had the game for awhile. I recently tried to play it again, and it wouldn't launch, so I don't know if I'd be able to.

F.E.A.R. was one of the best single player games I've played in a long time, I was impressed by it. I never tried the multiplayer, I just can't see the appeal of "realistic" games (CS, BF2 etc) for online play.

The games a fantastic single player ( just for the story, graphics are bit dodgy) but the multiplayer is just so bad. I tried to play it but its just a random run about and shoot no real meaning to it. maybe you like just running about shooting people randomly online but i sure as hell dont

Some of the MP aspect is good. The game mode where you have to pick up the booster in order to get slow-mo. Its ok for a laugh... Annoying as hell though, whoever gets the slowmo first can tears though everyone else

how does that work then, does everyone else freeze?

No, everyone else moves and shoots at something like 1/3 normal speed, while the person who activates slowmo moves at 2/3 normal speed (or something like that). Just means they get a BIG advantage.

lol I'm a bore because I don't like the thousands of monotonous realistic shooters out there?

Gameplay > realism

Go and play UT.

It's got realism (to an extent) AND good gameplay!
