hi guys i kno one or two of you from xfire, im iceman and im an gamaholic (opps wrong forum)

nah im here from fpg in order to try and get a few of you guys to sign up. what is fpg tho, well we are a comunity that try to promote fairplay

Here are our rules
# Cheating: Cheating is defined as any method used to gain an advantage not available to normal players. This definition includes any form of wall hack, aim-bot, speed cheat, spiked models, and scripts used to take advantage of non-standard functionality (i.e. zoom scripts).
# Bug abuse: This is defined as the wilful use of known bugs in the game engine and/or mod.
# Disruptive and Abusive Behaviour: This covers a range of offences, from spam-flooding, and verbal abuse at one end of the spectrum, to door blocking and team-killing on the other.
# Racism: Racism is defined as defaming or insulting a person or group of people based on national, ethnic, geographic, or religious background. There is no place for racism in the world and it is not acceptable in the game. Ever.
# Any other kind of 'ism, eg sexism, ageism, heightism, etc. etc. Basically, discriminating against someone because of what they are.
# Deathmatch Mentality: Many on-line games were designed as team play games/modifications. Unfortunately, they rarely played as such. Too often games degenerate into mad melees, with every man for himself and objectives falling by the wayside. Unless of course you are playing a deathmatch game, in which case, we encourage this one ;-)

we will accept any members from any games.
we currently have one comunity server and that is for day of defeat 1.3 its ip is 195.242.236.220:27015, and we also have a few teamspeaks servers incase we wanna shout at each other while gaming :)

i hope to see a few of you signing up you can do it here

Info on what??
There our aims our game plan is just to be a bit like OWP that was a Day of defeat fairplay comunity. All it is is if you agree with the aims then you sign up Put [FPG] on the end of your name then once we get more members, and you want to join a good server then just look for one with lots of FPG members in or a server that has the FPG tag on it, then you kno you will have a good friendly game.
There are a few clan servers in different games that have the fpg tag on and if you leaders wanted to add your servers to that list it would be ok.

There is a forum on the FPG website if you want to ask a few questions before signing up.

(also they arnt the server rules they are the member rules, you HAVE to agree to them to be a member and to put the [FPG] on the end of your name)

Isms are good! Priapism FTW!

To be honest, fair play comes natural for me as a server admin, i don't think it needs to be emphasised with a tag.

Question, how do you check your members actually follow the rules?

thats good that there are server admins like you still around. BUT if someone that has heard of the comunity is looking for a server, they see 2 servers one is a FPG server they kno that the people in that server will be alright people so they will join that one
in answer to ur question the community is self governed, if someone is reported to be abusing the "trust" we would investigate

Hey Iceman. Ive known Iceman for quite a while, I organised some Css and Dod matches with them about a year back. Most of the new people in the communty will probably not of heard of them they used to be called amuaka (~*~), anyway they are a good bunch of lads.

Iceman we will not change our tags ingame as [THN] is our main community and so [THN] is our tag to promote TheHavenNet, just as yours is [FPG] to promote yours. However Im sure several will probably have a browse about the forums.

We have not got a very big DoD part of the community so anyone who is intrested in playing some dod I would recomend playing with a bunch of these guys one night it's deffinatly a good laugh.

Anyway they are a good community so deffinatly have a browse over their forums and add some of them to xfire.

HI Iceman, welcome to our forums.

Obviously its up to individuals as to what they want to do with tags and such but [THN] has built a reputation as being synonymous with fair play, teamplay and good community spirit anyway so you can be pretty sure that those wearing the [THN] tag are good people to game with. We also have our own community rules which pretty much match up to those you listed in your initial post (see our forum FAQ for details). These were developed back in the day when natural selection was the big thing around here and we've stuck to those principles ever since.

I personally wont be adding your tag as I "hope" that the [THN] tag on its own has enough positive reputation to make others know that they are getting a fair game. Despite that I think what you are doing is a great idea and I wish you loads of luck in making it a success. Finally, if you ever want to bounce ideas around then I've more years experience debating the principles of fair play and how to achieve it than I care to remember (as do many of our older forum members) so feel free to start up a debate or pose some ideas and we'll all chip in I'm sure.

Failing all of the above hopefully I'll catch you online for a few games of something (which after all is what we're all here for :)).

Regards

Haven

Yeah thats fine if you dont want to add the tag to your name but if your comunity leader wanted to put a post on our forums saying your whole clan agrees with our ideas. then that will be on the site so if someone looks at our site they can see thn agrees with us,
just an idea as that is what one or two other clans have done

That may not be entirely true for the BF2 segment....

I wouldn't call Midge or HotStuff in the air fun to play with :p.

We are fair though, Bambi and I never use ye olde unlocks :D.

Since Bambi is going away I might mosey on over to the site and pitch THN in.

yeah once we have a fair few clans in we will more than likely have some pages with info of clans that agree with us. and maybe also a recruitment page so if you are looking for people thats where you can look.
