Find me a PC upgrade for £400!

Ok so my friend wants to upgrade his PC, he currently has a mobo with 3GB DDR400MHz ram, an Athlon dual core 4200 of some kind and an nVidia 7950 GTX.

He wants an upgrade of those parts for a max of £400, and I wanted to see what you lot can come up with for that money

Long story short we'll need a new mobo, processor (quad preferred but not essential), CPU cooler, ram and GFX card.

I have my own ideas about what will be good to get but I thought I would bounce this off you lot too to see what you can come up with

Stick with the GPU as its still a good one - for the money he's better upgrading the base system and updating the GPU at a later date.

If he can scrape £450 then go for the quad:

BAH my friend just called me and it turns out the money he had earmarked for a PC upgrade now has to go on his car, so don't bother with looking anymore.
