Found a new area in guildwars (Riverside Province)

I appologise in advance if this isn't news to you all but Shadow and I found somewhere completely new (to us) on guildwars tonight. We started off at the temple of ages and after a very short quest the group decided that we would keep going west for as far as we could. Well then things got interesting - we even found the "white mantle step" (or was it stair ...) which was a bit of a bastard to get over but still worth the effort. At the end of it all (about 90 mins later) we had arrived at riverside province which is a mission area and one that I've not seen before. If anyone else fancies doing this mission tomorrow then I think we'll be up for it ...

*grins* checked my elementalist and I have been there before, it just felt new as we came in a different direction Was a damn good session last night though.

That's weird... Riverside Province is part of the story.

You are supposed to do Riverside Province to get to Sanctum Cay, and I'm pretty sure Sanctum Cay can't be walked to unless you go via Fisherman's Haven. Unless someone ran you there, you had to go through the jungle, I can't understand how you missed Riverside.

What's supposed to happen is there is a primary quest in the jungle to find someone, and you talk to him, and if you say the right thing to him, he'll take you to Riverside Province in his boat. He acts like the portal from the jungle to Riverside... then you do Riverside to reach Sanctum Gay.

Yeah i know that route to there well basically there are 2 areas Twin serpent lakes and the area with fishermen's haven one connects to sanctum cay and the other(Twin serpent) connects to riverside province.
And they both connect to one area which is i think before temple of ages or the area before .

Thats one of the things I like about GW; freedom of exploration. I mean, fair enough, it wasnt a new area you found, but just that feeling of 'look where I got today without going the way the game planned out' is quite rewarding
