FREE MMO fps shooter "Air Rivals"

Not tried this yet but it came to my attention in this months PC gamer. Basically it's a shooter with space ships with hunderds of players at once.

Great thing is it's free! It looks like it works on the same basis as the forthcoming BF:Hereos where you pay a bit extra to gain better weapons, make your ship look better etc.

It's cool that there are free shooter MMO games coming up which actually LOOK GOOD! It does give a refreshing option from MMORPG games.

I'm not going to rush downloading "Air Rivals" yet as it is sure to have loads of issues to be ironed out.

Anyone going to give it a go?

It wasn't one I was planning on looking at, personally, but Eurogamer did a review on it a little while ago and gave it a fairly solid 7 out of 10. A game with ups and downs, where the ups (fortunately) are in the PVP conflict, and the downs are more in the graphics and PVE stuff.

To calm Nanor's concerns, I believe the micro-transaction stuff is all focused on jazzing up the style of your avatar and ship, not actually purchasing weapons; it's an MMO, after all, so I imagine there's loot to be had.
