Found this when trawlling for visio alternatives for work and its a genuinely good site:

It covers open source alternatives for popular applications, there are some very interesting listings and its clean and clutter free which I like in a site.

For those who have not found them before, also check out sourceforge and freshmeat for free software options.

Thanks, haven! Little tools like these always come in useful, especially for things like audio/video conversion and CD-ripping, but without having to use trial versions and all that rubbish.
