Right, firstly, The Omega Sektor is a gaming center. They have PCs you can play on, they charge you by the hour (or 3 hours maybe).
They have just opened up in Birmingham. Woot for the people around there.
More importantly, they are giving away 5000 free memberships. It's free. Even if you don't THINK you'll ever go, maybe there will be a THN meet there in the future? Why not sign up for the FREE membership, just in case. I've just signed up, and they didn't ask for anything more than name, address, phone number and email. Put in a fake phone number if you are worries.
Membership comes in 4 flavours:
That's not a freaking bad thing. I've gone for Double Your Hours as I don't have kids (no family one for me!) and I doubt I would ever get 8-12 people together for it to be worth it.
So it was between DYH or 2-4-1. They work out exactly the same in price, hour for hour, but 2-4-1 means you need someone else there. If we go for a THN meet, greet and frag, fine, we just have to get up after 3 hours and pay again. If everyone there has a DYH, we all play for 6 hours straight. And we can go without the other people in the future.
