Friday Night.

Right. Im sure everyone is aware of the car crash that was most of Friday night.

Now. The officers who ran that raid have had a bit of a chat, and we think its important that someone makes this post just to tell people what happened and whats being done. We like to keep people in the know .

So we had a bad raid. Everyone has them.

It was only the second time we had tried Flame Leviathan on 25 man. We have done it before, but not as a guild. We had alot of people who hadnt even been there before on 10 man, never mind being thrown in the deep end at a 25.

Considering this, we made exellent progress and the attempts were actually quite good. We didnt get him down but...so what? We still got the most valuable thing we could from going there. 25 peoples worth of experience. Alot of people did well on that fight.

Now, Naxx. Its worth noting for the record here that we were short in many ways on healers. A few were gearing up and we would usually take 6 rather than 5 to a Naxx 25. As people get gear, youll find it improves. Some people were doing some exellent dps there. Our new Rogue Anteya especially, I hope you dont think this is the norm .

The spider wing wasnt bad. Im not going to lie to you - It wasnt perfect. But were the Haven and if were perfect something is going wrong.
Noth was...well Noth was a shambles. We were 3 or 4 men down. I had to swap on to Myc to bring the dps, and that lost us another healer. We didnt really have a full group, so dont get hung up about it.

Im sure everyone who was on teamspeak (Which should be everyone, Bizzatches) knows that tempers got a little frayed around the edges.
This is understandable. From some people its even become an interesting little character trait.

The thing I would say here is Dont Worry. even if you feel like your being blamed. Your not. We have some people for whom Naxx 25 is a big step down, im very grateful to them for coming along to help us do what we can.

In short guys. Thanks to everyone who turned up, dont get hung up on it and have fun out there. Its your game, your paying for it.

I'm sorry to hear I couldn't be there to help you guys out on a rough night But everyone, don't be dissuaded, we have our ups and downs - after some downs will neccessarily come the ups And much like Ting said, 25mans are not our daily bread and ANY experience in them is worth the trouble.

My thoughts on the night in question for the Naxx bit are;

It was just too rushed. If you have 25 people who can run the instance with their eyes closed fair enough, but this wasn't the case. I know at the very least you had a new tank (Bemused) and a new healer (Solemn).

We kept getting chucked in the deep end with no thought given to the fact we haven't tanked or healed much before, and not at all in a raid. I know the encounters as DPS, but it's completely different as OT.

On one encounter I was asked to pull all the boss mobs and before I could even get the chance some guy lost his patience and ran in first. The reason I lagged in pulling is because I wanted to make sure I was going to pull every mob so was just taking a breather to think about it (avengers shield and hor sorts it nicely, as I found in a nice relaxed normal run).

I know that impatience yet again was to blame for some people going crazy on their DPS in some fights. And patience once more for people pulling without being told to.

I was never explicitly told what to offtank, so made logical guesses (e.g. usually something that isn't flagged with skull on pulls or 2 or more)

Solemn wasn't told until about 2 hours in that there was a healer channel. And when given a player to heal, nicknames were often used which meant she had to ask around to find out which player was meant.

No one person is to blame, and heck if I did anything wrong individually I'd like to know. But overall it just seemed all stress, no fun. Because people have destroyed that content over and over they assume it's ok to rush headfirst in but please consider the people in the raid and make sure you have no newer people before doing that.

2 minutes, that's all I would have asked for, before each fight to be told on an 1 to 1 basis what to do (and a quick chat about trash mobs). I could have done better that way. I don't think I could have stopped the wipes as there seemed a lot of factors there but still, what if other people were in the same situation as me? Maybe it all added up, and combined with the fact 25% people in the raid seemed in a mad rush then kaboom, total conflict, confusion and wipes.

On the more serious part, it will resolve itself. As I see the situation atm > there where a lot of blue geared people in the raid and some have not even been there at all playing their class. Naxx 25 is in all manners still a hard raid, no worries when we run the place a bit more and your gear impoves it will go better.

Well to be honest i agree with all the comments here from ting,angelic,bemused and nact.. and practice does make perfect.....
However i have decided that i will not be signing myself up as a trial raider as it is far too much stress for a game and frankly i dont need the stress that comes with doing the progression here and could do without the headaches ... this is not saying that i will NEVER sign up just not at the moment .... besides that im willing to help out for any naxx10 / OS10's that are going on or any heroics that people would like to do ... cheers

I have spoken with guildies during and after raid night, and we agreed that it was not an index of actual "power" of the guild. I can say from my own experience, that such things happens. It requires some time, patience and adequacy of measures to create good raiding team. And, I hope, it will be done with all people help.

And yeah thunder, bemused and all the others that attended i loved saturday night it was a brilliant run and would of been good if we could of finished but hey lets get the group back together and do a full run over the weekend if everyone is up for it

Adding this a bit late but since "that night" ive been off ts for a while and just wanted to add to this thread that im sorry for my outburst and altho i was getting annoyed at aggro issues the rest of the raid was quiet enjoyable as it was my 1st time in Ulduar.

Its been a long time since i tanked and i may have gone a little overboard in my "colourful language" as migde puts it

I cant say it wont happen again as i rarly think before i speak! but, sorry if anyone took offense.

Saturday night's raid was very enjoyable - partly because i haven't been around much but also there was no stress, it was just nice and chilled.

You really should make an event for this, mate.

There's absolutely nothing preventing you from stating, in the event body text, that peeps who were with you last Saturday will be given priority.
