Hello my name is Dayo007 from the G2G Clan Base; we would like to invite you guys to join our multi-gaming community with a difference!!

G2G are a multi-play gaming community with an online games shop (Gaming2Gamers) & Clan Base. We feel we are a clan base with a difference by that I mean other members of the G2G Crew and I will actively get involved with clan issues and our door is always open to help out in any way we can. From registering with clan forums such as our friends here at the Alien Headquarters and popping in from time to time just to say hi.

There are many people (companies) out there that have something to offer clans and gamers alike such as free TeamSpeak server's web hosting packages that don?t have to cost an arm and a leg, and our job is to seek them out so all can benefit. Right now we are waiting for a certain clan to finish building there website and when its done there is an option for completely no strings attached free TeamSpeak servers for clans only, as soon as they are ready we will passing that info to all clan members.

We will be pushing for decent competitions with real prizes, our first competition will be for a complete website & forums php nuke military theme: Details will be released shortly on that one.

Soon to arise from the ashes is the G2G Anti_Cheat Council; we are building great relations with governing bodies who have the power to actually do something about cheats in our servers i.e. ban registrations etc and these decisions will be made by the G2G Clans themselves.

Also the usual stuff like clan listings (banners etc) But we do particularly like the server recommendations that we have just launched where by we the G2G Crew actually join Clan's servers give em a bit of a pasting lol and then write a review on how there server preformed and what the admin was like and so on: The G2G Crew are members of Clan ESO BF2 and we are more than happy to try out servers on request.

That brings me onto my final point; we are not a league or intend to be. However, we are not against setting up a small ladder system with the registered clans within G2G Clan Base, based on friendly and we was toying with the idea of creating a G2G All Stars team based on of which player?s from different clans within G2G can be challenged against another clan this again will be ran by the heads of the clans.

The G2G website is a recent addition so we would be grateful for any support in helping the forums grow, we look forward to seeing you around.

:EDIT: on further point, THN is already a community, shouldnt this be up to Haven and the games leaders (BF2, WOW etc)

Hey Day007. Welcome to THN. I have a few questions about your offer.

Firstly, in this "multi-gaming community" will be allowed to keep our [THN] tags and still, essentially, be THN even though we, along with other clans, will be part of your community? Also will we have to wear any G2G tags in our name aswell?

Secondly, what obligations will we have upon joining? Is there anything we have to participate in? Anything we can't do?

Thirdly, a bit of an easy one this. What games do you currently support and is it possible for us to bring in other games?

Finally, I like the idea of the inter-G2G ladder and even the "All Stars" team. What I want to know though is who will choose the squad list for this team and who will be in charge as I can see squabbling arising if there are 'too many cooks'.

Thanx for the offer and I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say it warrants some serious consideration.

Oh and also, how did you hear about us? Why choose us to be in your community?

Yep, THN is already a community, but you guys n gals are, of course, welcome to get involved in whatever other communities, leagues, ladders and conventions as you like. We aren't proscribing "THN plays this or that", just providing a place for likeminded people to come together, hang out, play games if that takes their fancy, or whatever.

THN, ultimately, consists of three main things:

  1. Our community... you guys n gals who visit this place and make it what it is mixed with us, the Admins and Mods, who just try to make this place make sense (yeah yeah, like herding treacle uphill ;) ).
  2. Our servers, including Serenity, Saratoga and Gulliver, providing various applications, including THN Games, THN Comedy, THN Gallery, TeamSpeak, and so on.
  3. Our games, including Alien Swarm, Battlefield 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, Counter Strike: Source and basically whatever we fancy.

We're not big on ladders or leagues, though we do have our BF2 Mini League. We're not really a home for many clans, though again we've got a WoW Guild and a BF2 clan homing here. We're not really providing hosting, as such, though interesting projects tend to get some space and resources to help them help THN.

Contrarily, projects such as G2G really feel much more to be providing individual hosting for clans, a contact network for multiple gaming groups within the same game, and often ladders and leagues and such because their play-pool is larger.

I guess that's part of where Enemy Down sits, minus the hosting (I believe), but I doubt any of you would say they have a closely knit community there... (would you?)

Games you can find anywhere. Friendly community is a rare thing indeed, especially when you start to look across different games and outside competitive circles.

So, G2G may well offer contacts and access to play groups that THN currently cannot, but honestly I don't feel there's any reason to see them in conflict with THN or vice versa. Theoretically, we could be mutually complementary, providing a stable community base here that can get involved in stuff over there.

As for needing Haven or pHatBambi or, indeed, anyone's "permission" to sign up to these things... pah! Pah, I say! Pah! You came here freely, why on earth should we tell you what games or communities you can play with? Sure, don't go poaching players out of the THN BF2 clan, but frankly if they're poachable they were probably not very reliable in the first place (I assert in a sweeping and generalistic way).

So, up to you mate. Do what you like. Just don't expect THN resources to be automagically available and you'll do fine. :)

Yeah I don't see a problem with signing up on your forums or playing games with you guys, but I will not be adding any new Tags to my ingame names etc. as THN has been a community I have been involved in for quite a while now and I feel proud to promote it by wearing the tag so that would be my reason for that :).
