Games you play

Good point Trax (I was probably about a day from joining that lot on your list). Incidentally, can I just take this opportunity to request adding Frontlines:Fuel of War to the list? My order has apparently been posted today so I should receive it very soon (just in time for my weeks holiday next week :D) and I imagine most of the others who've ordered it will be getting it soon as well.

Hmm. Looking at my list of games I play, there's no more ticks to be had on there.

What's the deal about updating it? Especially if there's nothing new to add?

Even if there's nothing new to add you should still click on the save button every once in a while. The list only shows people who've updated within a certain time period (probably 2 months given what Trax said but I'm not certain of that).

The idea is that it keeps an up-to-date list of who you can expect to be willing to join you on a certain game. There's no point trying to get a game with someone who's not visited the site in months as chances are they're not going to be around for a game anyway.

**hangs head in shame**, i'll sort it now :) -edit i'll leave mine as it is (blank) as i've got no broadband still to play with :(

Wraith and Trax have it spot on. Even if the list is correct, click the save button just to say "yep, that's still all correct". Ideally there'd be another button on there to say "yep, that's all correct" but I've not done that yet.

A little case of THREAD REVIVAL is required I think,

People need to update their Games You Play again!

All you need to do is go into your profile, scroll down to the bottom, and click save, unless you've got some more games to tick on that list!

Remember though, the list is not for all the games you own, it's for all the games you want to play!

Go HERE

Thread revival complete ;)

And, just for the record, you'll find recent releases such as Far Cry 2 and Left 4 Dead in that list.

Is it possible to include expansions in the list, also? It'd be nice to know who plays the vanila version, and who plays the expansion.
(IE, Supreme Commander & Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance)

Also as there are singleplayer games are there, can Fallout 3 be added too?

There's a whole thread on why single player games aren't included, briefly, It's because they're single player.

You don't fill the list in for all the games you own, it's for games you want to play with people online.

If there's a specific game you want, you can make a request thread in Hey Admins. Fallout3 doesn't have any online capability, so there's no point in adding it.

Further comments already made, the point of Play Finder and the whole Games You Play mechanism is to help you find other THNers who want to play the same game as you.

Hence, no single player.

On the expansions bit, I hadn't included that because vBulletin's custom profile fields functionality has restrictions on how many options can be in a single field. I figure that if you're interested in Supreme Commander, then it's likely you'd be interested in the expansions too.

That said, if there's a decent case for a game to be included then we'll probably just include it.

I see. I didn't realise Spore or Audiosurf were multiplayer :).
On Forged Alliance, given it's technically a stand-alone game, can it be added?

On another note, does FC2 have multiplayer functionality?
