Civ4?? I thought civ4 was just same old same old. You cant be game of the year without being original imho

Sure you can be GotY without being original. Improvements on past methods are a basic tenant of the games industry.

Civ4 is not totally the same old...... they have totally changed it and its a lot better than Civ3. Well worth a look at by anyone

I'll be honest with u, I bought Civ 4 like the day it was released... and I have played it about 5 times since then... for some reason it just doesn't seem to hold the same appeal now that Civ 3 did...

true thats how i felt. but i gotto say i never gave it a proper try, i only played it when i had a really bad cold and a stuffy nose lol

By any chance did you use the normal tactic of expanding fast with Settlers... they have deliberately change it so this holds you back. Plus religion and happinesss are major things to balance.
