[Tech] Getting Files off my iPod

So I've reformatted ye olde hard drive and I thought I'd backed up my iTunes library but apparently I hadn't. Is there any quick method of getting the files off my iPod intact and ready to go. Or even better is there a way of linking my iPod to my old library?

If you've purchased them through itunes, you can plug it in and it'll ask you to transfer all purchased items from iPod to your PC.

There are various programs that will take all of your music off of your ipod, the issue is, iPod puts them in its own special organisation, which I can't see any logic to, to be honest...

Open up your music folder on the iPod in windows explorer and see for yourself. It's all available to you, just not named the same way...

I'd like to add I keep reading this title as how to get FLIES off my ipod....

errr program called sharepod can work, also you can just drag them off the ipod if you have hidden files showing. the ID3 tags should all still be there so it should work.

Otherwise poke google.
