Howdy folks.
As alot of you may know many gfx site's hold a SOTW competition (Sig Of The Week). I wanted to do the same with THN, although since we aren't a gfx site, and the number of people who are interested in gfx is limited I decided to do it monthly instead of weekly.
So the rules are simple:
1. Submission's must be your own work, Ripping is a big no no.
2. Only one entry is allowed per person.
3. You have to enter a new signature for every SOTM you participate in.
4. You must follow the SOTM theme for that month.
5. General forum etiquette should be maintained, e.g. No explicit images, racism etc.
6. Entries can be changed before voting, simply edit your post with your new Sig.
7. The dimensions of your entry must not exceed 500x200 pixels. (Reversed if it's a vertical sig.)
It's worth noting that the signature restrictions on the board are: width of 580 pixels, and a height of 63 pixels. So if you want to enter a sig that you can use on the forums then these would have to be the max dimensions of it, however I'm assuming most people won't be too bothered about not having their entry as their sig on the forums so I've made the max dimensions of entries 500x200. It's really just a bit of fun and being able to show people what you can do

The competition will be open for 2 weeks, and then a public vote will commence for 1 week. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
These are just provisional rules/times atm. We'll see how they work out and adjust them if needed for the next one. If anyone has any other suggestions about it I'm open ears.
This weeks SOTM theme will be: Computer Games (Nice and broad for our first one), and it will close on Wednesday 25th June 12:00 Midday.
So get your virtual paint brushes out.
As for prizes, I'll have to speak to RS about maybe having some sort of Medal that can be posted on your profile or maybe some form of Cookie reward if they ever come into the picture. However atm you'll have to settle with a userbar with your name on it and the SOTM # you won. I'll try whip something up in the next few days.
