Gladiator S1 For honor

Yo fellows.

I just wanted to remind you guys who ( Like me , sometimes ) has a little hard time finding some decent gear. Well , in the next patch , gladiator items will be sold for honor. Note it's season 1. Well , if you run AV much and time efficient , you could probaly earn atleast one items in some days , depending on how hardcore you are. Remember though that gladiator is mostly for PVP. Maybe this has already been posted somewhere but i just wanted to give a tip.

For my sake , im going to grind AV. It's always good to practise your moves , and kill some alliance apes.

Its a good idea and will certainly help those left out of heroic runs to get some epix and be better geared for raiding (if thats their bent ...).

but haven, most PVP gear has lots of Stam and less of int (say for casters etc)? wouldnt that be bad in raiding since they will have less mana

Its better than greens and (most) blues. I'm not saying its the perfect raiding gear, but it helps people get their gear to the stage where they actually can raid then its a good thing.

Some of the bits (particularly neck rewards) and epic gems are awesome regardless and actually better than anything else in the game (for some classes at least).

I've known about this for quite some time, and just wanted to add i little summit to your post.
It's not just finding decent gear for PvP and PvE, but also trying to find some nice gear for us Rp'ers aswell. In my opinion the S1 gear is really cool for role-playing. Happy hunting!

This is just me, but I personally hate the idea of easily available PvP gear that's good gear. Irritates me that you get people walking around in full sets of this awesome gear that they can get by dying over and over and demonstrating little skill or ability when those of us in PvE have to be good, work hard, and succeed in what we do to get our gear... I just worry that now the people who are too bad to get Arena stuff but manage to get some honour just by being present in BGs will have better gear to grief people with...

I understand you completely. But some small facts is that, now when S3 comes out, it means that It will be even harder to get S1 when ppl play 24/7 to get S3. Making S1 available for Honor points, it gives us players that doesnt have much time to play anymore coz of work or other daily stuff that need to be taken care of.
But I know what you mean, so I support your statment. Getting Gladiator gear is a show of Skills. But do take note of my statment aswell. Every coin has two sides. Good and Bad

People, get farming. It has been confirmed that S3 will begin one week after the implementation of patch 2.3.

In summary, Zaggank becomes god on the 13th, and S1 goes to honor vendors on the 20th, if Blizz sticks to their plan. AV, like Mort wisely put it, is by far the most time-efficient honor grind, although EotS will be the easiest to get onto (S1 rewards require EotS tokens), and the weapons are fabulous for your PVE duties as well - well worth the grind, in my opinion.

But is it really that good going PvE in PvP gear?
I know it's like hitting a brick-wall that fights back when you fight someone in full PvP-gear. But how does that effect Melee bonuses in PvE?

I'm still of the opinion that all PvP gear (with maybe the exception of a few small usefuls like the gems and the trinkets and the like) should be nerfed to hell and back... something like make them almost as good as that level's equivalent dungeon blues, and then maybe have addition stats/effects that ONLY kick in during BGs/Arena.

Many would flame me for that, but meh, it's how I've felt about PvP gear since the honour system changed back in 2.0.1

Well , There is PVE spells only , i think Curse of doom is a very good warlock curse that doesnt work in pvp? Maybe more of that?

If you use it on a PvP target and they die from it, it summons a Doomguard... or at least I think it's only good for that in PvP, not sure.

The curse of Doom Doesn't work against player-controlled characters.

But basically its a 60-second timer that explodes with a few thousand damage after 60 seconds. If the mob dies as a result of the damage caused by the curse, there's about a 10% chance or so that a doomguard will be summoned.

There is always the Ritual of Doom, however... a much more reliable way of doing it

But lets say you run in to Shadow Labs, comparing PvP gear and PvE gear.
Wich one is better? Or is PvP gear as good as PvE for instancing?

Coz if PvP gear is just as good as PvE gear, you might be living in the Bg's to gear up, so you can continue to upgrade the gear with Heroics

PVP gear is better for PVP cause of resilience and the high stam etc

PVE gear is better for PVE cause the stats are better for PVEing e.g. high int for mages but still some stam
