For those of you with gmail/googlemail accounts you can just log in using your existing details and claim your 5GB of storage for free:

Another one to add alongside dropbox and box.net.

Since its free, silly not to really.

Enabling an account you dont use surely doesn't hurt anyone?

Think i'll just stick with Dropbox, they are all the same thing at its core and I already have dropbox...

considering I have had their gmail service since forever and I log in using spicypixel not spicypixel at gmail dot com on any of their services does this mean I am mad?

Good thing is, Zoog, Gmail's spam detection and filtration system is good enough that it wouldn't matter how much spam he had thrown at him. :p

(Also, Spicy can't get enough spam - he loves the stuff.)

a) heads up zog, if you wanted to save him from spam, better decorate the one in trax's post :P

b) I take it all back, I just got an email from google activating my drive, so lets see how it goes

That awkward moment when you forget it's not a semi private forum and or you're just muscle memory-ing the email address. On the upside Huung is right, yay for spam filters. Point stands though. I do love spam fritters.

Google's ToS: "When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes that we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content. "

This means that anything you upload to Drive they can take and use at will.

As much as I like most of Google's products, their ToS makes a lot of them unattractive now.
