Google Maps Directional Fail

Upon looking through Google Maps randomly, I noticed a strange fail on the directions section, namely when you try to get directions from one country to another. To test this out better I thought I'd try to get directions from Japan to America, only to find direction 27 to be very amusing.

the other fun one that's doing the rounds at the moment is when you put in "Japan to China" - look at step 43

"Jet ski across the Pacific" indeed. That's silly! 782km, pffft. A jetski will last a couple of hours at near full speed at most. Most jet skis run at around the 60mph mark. Even if it's a quick one that is nearer 100, you'd still make NO WHERE near that distance. Pffft. Silly Google.

Still, to Kayak accross the pacific ocean, from Japan to Hawaii, is pretty fail

I sense an impending lawsuit against Google when someone actually tries following said directions and gets killed

Except for the part where they have a pretty clear disclaimer telling you the directions aren't to be followed word for word and to use common sense instead...

In the same way that if a road is shut, it doesnt mean that you can still drive down it just because the google directions say so
