So, obviously on the PS3, I've been playing this for awhile now and am in love. Well worth the wait.

Anybody else got it? Opinions? Favourite cars / tunings / tracks? Heh.

Ooh, and although limited, I've got a small collection of cars I don't mind lending out. Like one to complete the historic cars cup in the Extreme series. Which costs like 15 million. D<

So yeah, car lending thread too, I guess. :P

I really, really want this game. Gotta wait til it comes down to 30 quid in HMV though. Got 50 quids worth of vouchers for there and I want to get a second controller. This is a game that begs for 2 player splitscreen! Glad to hear it's good :-D

Ahh yus. Controllers are important. As a word of advice, since the PS3 patch, don't bother getting adapters or controllers that aren't made by Sony unless you're absolutely sure they work.

Was using a PS2 Controller adapter, which was working fine for everything I played (except the R2/L2 on Fallout 3 and New Vegas), and it works for every menu in GT5, but as soon as you enter a race, it disables everything the ability to pause and exit the race. =_=

Very quickly raped into buying a new Dualshock 3.

Also, give us a shout when you get it; I'm starting to roll in the money so I don't mind grabbing you any special cars you need. ;D Or a nicer starter one than 20k credits. :P

I've been a massive fan of the GT series since the PS1 when it redefined what games - especially racing games - could and should be.

I played online a lot on the PS2 using Kai - an app that allows you to create a pseudo-network - and had some great fun. In fact, it wasn't until I went online that I found people that could beat me. None of my friends were really into it that much and I could wipe the floor with them. Even when they introduced me to other people who were "good" at GT I was still triumphant - although I did meet one guy who could set a car up perfectly. I still whooped him, I loved driving his cars though.

The only reason I bought my PS3 (on launch day!) was for GT5.
Damn game took so long to come out that when it finally did all excitement had pretty much gone.
Still working towards my licences and have got a collection of not-great cars ;)
I've been playing on-and-off since I got it at Christmas but have barely touched the online mode.

Anyhoo, how about we try for a [THN] GT5 night?
(even though I'm pretty rusty these days!)

Anyone interested?

Sounds like it could be incredible Xylak! ;D Of course it sounds like you'll whup my ass but it'll be fun all the same. :P

Like I said, I've got a little spare cash, a bunch of cars I used for previous races, so give me a shout if you need anything, just make sure to return it afterwards! ;D

Pfft... split screen? When you can go online and have some full-screen goodness?
Buy the game and then save for another controller while you're getting your licences/cars etc ;)

Hmm, maybe look into this. Haven't really figured out the whole lending cars etc yet - including returning cars, that may take a bit longer to figure out ;)

It's not too difficult. Just gotta go through the community tab on the left, and then accept the geeft.

To send it back, triangle on my name, send gift, car, etc.

Only one a day though. D:

And it hasn't. I left my game over my friends (as I usually do) so I'll add you tomorrow night. ^_^

But split screen is so much more fun when you can have tournaments with your housemates! We have a drinking game worked out ;)

Also, 3rd party controllers don't work?! FAIL Sony!
