Graphics card woes...

Ok it seems that for some reason my graphics card is overheating... those of you on WoW with me last night will have seen (well heard me on TS anyway) the effects of this... So yesterday I took it out and removed a layer of dust that had worked its way onto the heatsink and was obstructing the airflow from the fan.

The next issue?

It still seems to be running quite hot even with this dust removed... about 55 degrees! is this normal???

It's an ATi Radeon 9800 Pro.

Yeah thats fairly normal mate - all modern cards pull a lot of power and manufacturers do not want to fork out too much for heavy copper sinks so they skimp a little. If you are really concerned then you can buy a replacement cooling kit for your card with better heatsinks.

55 sounds about right though.
