Guild Bank Proposal - Please take the time to read

I would like to suggest that an extra tab be bought for the guild bank. I would like the tab to be accessed by at least the progression characters or trusted members.
This will allow items to be quickly placed into the guild bank which are likely to be needed for leveling or profs.

Alot of the time i think items arnt used from the guild bank just because we generally dont like bothering the officers.

This thread has been influenced by noticing that items such as potions/elixers/Ore/etc are just sitting in the guild bank not being used. I myself have donated to the guild bank on many occasions and noticed that items i have given, such as Mana oil, have not been taken.

So long as the people understand that items placed into the tab can be removed by lower-ranked players and higher valued items should still be sent to Tingham, i dont think there will be any problems.

Anyway please provide some feedback (Not just officers) and vote.

yeah would be nice if you could just grab the pots or cloth you need? but not sure if its going to work, unsure if you can trust people with bank tabs, sad but often true, would like to be able to deposit stuff as at the moment i cant be arsed to bother people so i dont deposit anymore, which is a shame as i have so much shit i wont to get rid of, lol

I think that there should be a tab accessable by trusted people, as i know the ranks are changing I'm not gonna say just give to progression, also because I know there are alot of member ranks trusted alot more than some of the trial raiders or progression. But items stored herre should be the like of BoE blues handy for leveling and they really dont sell for much anymore, also some of the potions that come in handy (mayb not raid flasks) some glyphs and other items to that affect, cloth herbs prof lvling items

I'm not sure how much another tab would cost, if we don't have the funds available for it we could probably modify the purpose of the 5th tab for it.

Prob a good idea im sure 2 of the tabs could be integrated easily with some of the items in question moved into the 5th tab

i think its a gud idea too, but only for members of the guild that wont abuse it lol i.e trusted progressors and members..i know from leading my previous guild that some ppl just use the g bank to dump off their sh*t, most of it wont sell on ah either..i say propose a list of wat we can put in there as nero said maybe some BoE blues and lvln stuffs, some glyphs,pots and prof mats. I certainly would put a lot more in wit a change

We did used to have an "open" tab, and basically what iilyas described happened. The tab rapidly became full of all the useless crap that no-one ever used, meaning that no-one could actually use it >_<.

Maybe we could try it again but I have my reservations over how useful it would be

So have someone in charge of clearing out the truly worthless crap. Maybe even sticking it on AH and putting the gold back into bank.

It has to be better than what we have now.. a bank that noone uses because they can't get hold of an officer so it's just too difficult to add/remove from.

Put it this way, had we had a system like this in place I'd probably have donated a lot more than I have. I've sent stuff to a random officer, heard absolutely nothing in reply and had no idea if the items even got used (they were rare glyphs at the time). So now I don't send anything in.

Withdrawals weren't the problem, it was the fact that too many people were putting too much worthless crap in.

I agree that the current system for people to obtain items will require work to make it easier for people to deposit/withdraw items, however, and we have been discussing this in the officer's section recently.

I will have a chat with the officers and point them to this thread and see what we can come up with.

We do now have two people looking after our bank so this may in fact work better now with the bank tabs we already have.

I don't mean to steal thunder, rain on parades or anything like that, but for those of you who haven't heard me talking about this on TS (I only mention it on occasion, so I wouldn't be surprised if only a couple know): at the moment, I've been brainstorming through a LOT of stuff for the guild, setting out all manner of cunning-planning-ness for the other officers to read through and help make workable. Included in these plans will be plans for the bank, so for the moment, buying another bank tab isn't going to happen.

And that's before we consider the fact that we don't have enough money for it (it's VERY expensive for the next one), and to be honest, we need the funds more than the space. A LOT of what we have in the bank at the moment will become redundant and likely can be moved into a bank character somewhere to free up space come 80, for example.

For now, nothing is going to happen. I appreciate the effort to help and improve things, guys, and I'm sorry to throw a spanner in the planning-works!

how much time would it take to get all members to donate 10g would soon mount up, or if you look at a BT raid on the sign ups, put if chossen a 10g donation to guild bank i know its nothing to a raider as we all have to buy pots and stuff for raids with a small donation it takes 10 mins to get 10 gold so i think its not much to ask.

Reaally need to emphasise this; we're gonna need money for the bank in Wrath, for buying anything we lack to get people ready for raiding. An additional bank tab would massively set us back and wouldn't be nearly as valuable as the money itself would've been. That and we'll likely free up a tab when most of what's in the bank now becomes obsolete and not worth storing.

Thanks for the idea Adriss, it is something ive been toying with for a while. But we have a great big list of things to do with the bank.

Ill add it to it and discuss it with some other officers.
