Guild Wars Event #8 Discussion

Hello once again!

You might have guessed it, but, just in case you hadn't, this is the discussion thread for our 8th Guild Wars Event!

In short: We plan to finish off the two southern Krytan missions (Riverside Province, Sanctum Cay) and appear in the Crystal Desert with a fresh outlook on next week's event. There is every possibility that we could have a wee jaunt round the desert to start opening up the mission outposts for next time (but I doubt we'll have enough time to complete any of them).

So there it is! If that tickles your fancy, then please do sign up! I can guarantee that there is no small print that says 'you owe us your soul' or anything*

What with it being Good Friday, I'm available any damn time if you want an earlier start.

That might be a good shout, we could even do some Crystal Desert stuff if we appeared earlier. I think I'll keep the specified time as 23:00 at the moment, but the chances are that I'll be on earlier to do some Factions/Nightfall stuff, so if we all happen to be around at an earlier time then we can just start then. It kind of depends on whether Fist is entertaining his chums from uni again this week or not.

Alright! In last night's session, we managed to successfully evade the clutches of the bastardious (my new word) White Mantle and escape to safety at the Amnoon Oasis in the Crystal Desert. We completed the two missions in Kryta, but, as has become a recent tradition, we only managed to attain the bonus in one of 'em. Fist and myself dropped a bit of a clanger by trying to separate our party and have one do the bonus and one guard the Vizier, but you don't need to do that at all! All you have to do is park yourself outside the Vizier as he summons the boat and defeat the White mantle squads one by one as they cast themselves upon the point of your sword. After that, the path is clear for a straight run to the bonus area and back again. I was under the impression there was a time limit on that, which is why I thought we should try and split up to do the bonus quickly. Sorry chaps! It should be an easy one to get by yourselves midweek anyway, if you so desire.

Anyway, we are now in the Crystal Desert (hooray!) and a positive response from the fellows means that I will be setting up another event for next Friday. That might not happen until Thursday night, again, depending on how fast my 'bothered' meter fills up.
