I also got Rise of Legends at the weekend - it's fascinating to watch the Vinci districts being build and the machinery that's constantly on the move, the units are all beautifully animated (particularly the glass dragon), the AI is very strong on any setting above standard - definitely one of the best games I've played for a long while.

iw ould love to purchase both the game and expansion pack... but it's too expensive for me at the minute. The day will come though :)

It's not an "expansion pack" in the sense that it requires the original game to play, as apparently you can play HL2 Ep1 WITHOUT the original game. But due to the storyline and the way it simply carries on from the end of the main HL2 game, it is highly recommended that you own and play through the whole of HL2 BEFORE playing Episode 1. ;)
