In Cryo Sleep
Sup?
OK, well as many of you know the character I am using for our Haven LX expedition is a rogue. As I am now approaching level 60 I have been considering what spec and glyphs to use. When approaching this decision there were a few things that swayed me certain ways.
First of all I have pretty much ruled out a mutilate/envenom build due to the silly amount of things that are nature immune at end game vanilla compared to everywhere else. This then led to me to examine the combat tree as, while there is always a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with what rogue spec is best for PVE, combat seems to usualyl come out on top. While the end talent of killing spree and the mid talent of blade flurry are nice they are on a two minute CD and there is also a lot of useless PVE talents in that tree so I moved away from that.
I then examined the subtlety tree further (I levelled as subtlety) and think that there is very good potential there for level 60. While a couple of the points at the top of the tree are not optimal (All the stealth increasing ones) they are required to get the 51 point talent shadow dance so I took them. I think this build could work due to the ridiculous damage that ambush puts out coupled with the amount of times a minute it can be used with this build. My initial idea of a boss encounter rotation would be premed>ambush>5-point rupture>vanish>ambush>backstab>4-point slice and dice>and then backstab while juggling the two finishers. This also gives me shadow dance every minute to fire in some more premeds and ambushes allowing ease of finisher rotation. Plus there should be lots of combo points coming in from people in my group critting. I have also chosen the major glyph combo of backstab and shadow dance so that I can get another ambush/finisher while shadow dance is active and backstab as that will be the base of my rotation and if makes my rupture better then win. I also realise this build will be energy heavy and I think that will result in a little special ability downtime but I still think it will be fine as hopefully rupture will be ticking and I'll be attacking fast with slice and dice.
Here is my build as it stands. What do you think? Got anything better? Help a *brother out.
Cheers,
