Homeworld 2 event next week

so i found my Homeworld 2 disks again and fancy playing some real people. So if your up for playing choose the day/s your available next week and i'll get and event sorted for the most popular one.

I have no idea if the online service is still functioning so we may need to use hamachi so i'll check that out this week and confirm everything in the event

I've noted Mon/Tue/Wed but there's a small possibility that I won't be able to make it at all as I'm on ready-5 for a contract that'll take me away from home for at least a couple of days to begin with... and that might be the beginning of next week.

However, otherwise, I'm up for it.

By the by, an interesting mod for HW2 is Point Defence Systems. Their project versions are confusing because they've forked and reforked their codebase over the years to experiment with different things. I'm familiar with the 7.x branch. Broadly, it changes the way the game plays to feel more like Battlestar: Galactica than Star Wars.

That said, I think we should stay simple for this one.

PDS is really going to take getting some used to. We held our own against the "standard" AI but the hard AI murdered us in our beds despite Fluidicspace's bevy of battlecruisers...

Hopefully a few more people will pick up HW2 (it's only a fiver these days!) and we can have a few more of us playing a THN 3v3 space war.
