How much gaming?

Just musing on how much time THNers spend gaming each week, on average. What better way to find out than a poll?

If you're currently playing much more/less than usual and it's about to go back to normal then vote your normal play. If you've had a major up/downturn that you think is there to stay for a few weeks or months then vote that.

I'd also be interested to know, if you care to comment, what sort of split your gaming has between single and multi-player.

About 2 hours a night in the week if im lucky and 3-4 more on Tueday and Thursdays usually. Nothing on the weekends since Im usually busy or away. So about 16-18hours.

Wow that seems alot but dosent feel like it when playing.

I say 15-20, which is a mild lie, but if I gets me new jobs I'll have to get up at 8:00 giving me less late night time!

Ya, I'm in at 5 to 10. Probably a third of that spent in single-player or quiet LAN gaming (Dawn of War, probably). A good week might push me to 10 to 15, often late night stuff (after 22:30).

On average I'd have to say 15-20 hours a week. But recently I've had a lot of free time so it's been up in the 30-40 hours for the past week.

I've really only been playing multiplayer, that being WoW, at the moment. I do enjoy the odd game of Command and Conquer and perhaps even a game of NS for nostalgia.

Id say probably about 3-4 hours a night at the moment, but it stands to increase exponentially as I get more and more into FFXII Ill call it 20-30hours per week at the moment (a whole day? thats a lot) and for the most part, 100% of that is spent on single player gaming (what, with my inaccessible internet connection at the moment and the aforementioned FFXII sucking up all my time). I think after FFXII I'm going to try and cut down a bit again, for a bit last year I hardly played any games at all and it was actually pretty good. Anyway, thats my whack.

I can't really answer Some weeks I play a good 2 hours at most, some weeks I play more then 40 hours. It all depends on my uni course, which is a bit of a schlag!

So, average... 10-15 hours... maybe?

I'd say about 2-5. This is because I'm in my last year at school and I need to pass my exams . Another major reason is simply that I've not found a game that I have played and said "This is definitely a game I want to start playing regularly" Since BF2. PR seems not bad, but it's still not got the same pull.

very much like elD it depends what else is going on at the time, for example over easter if i can't get a job i'd imagine that my gaming hours will dramatically increase. i reckon i average about 15-20 hours a week

I spend about 1.5-2 hours a night in the week, and not much more at the weekend. Although my time seems to get more and more restricted as exams creep up on us.

I'm probably in at about 20 hours on average, but the split between single player and multi player varies depending on what's interesting me at the moment.

Back in THN's BF2 heyday, it was pretty much all BF2, but these days the majority is single player.

Yeah I'm with Wraith and Macca here, ever since the demise of BF2 within THN and the disappointment of BF2142, I've switched to playing ns again. I play ns with the YO-Clan and played it so much with them recently that I got myself a reg slot. The amazing thing is I am so crap at ns, how the hell do you shoot a skulk anyway?

Like I said on the forums after phatbambi resigned from BF2, I do look forward to the next great game that pulls us all together again. We do appear to have fragmented a bit, however I see that as only temporary.

Till then 90 mins a night on ns does me.

30-40 hours! I get about 4 hours Mon & Tues, 2 Hours Wed, Thurs but on friday i usually play from 9-2am and Saturday is about 1pm-6pm then I go out with my mates and play some pool then it's 11pm-~3am.

Exams soon though.. :/

Back around the time of BF2 I would have said 20 hours but recently I've lost intrest in gaming and only spend maybe 2 hours at the most a week, that being single player Madden NFL.

I used to think I played too much Natural Selection, I've now played nearly seven times the ammount of WoW compared to NS over pretty much the same time scale.

Time to reclaim my life a little I think.

Its funni how people say they need to get there life back!

Gaming is part of life! And if you weren't gaming you would be doing somthing else equally as much such as watching tv or reading books so I don't think its an issue.

But then again I work 40 hours a week and play for 15 and the rest of the time im seeing friends or sleeping. Its all quite stuctured so maybe im not the best judge

yeah, between 40 and 50 hours work a week, plus 32 hours gaming, plus 10 hours travel to and from work ... that leaves around 80 hours a week for sleep and everything else. Shows why I'm quite so grumpy really
