My G: Drive, while trying to put in my 6600, my mum turned off the PC, I think this has caused a hard drive crash. How do i fix it? :(

Do you mean you had the pc on when you were inserting the card?
We need more information. What is happening when you boot the pc?

You had the PC turned on??

Are you sure it's the HD failing thats causing the crashes? Sounds more like the graphics card, Run some tests (scan disk etc.) and tell us that results. Also from BIOS switch back to your on-board VGA chip, that will tell you if it's the G-Card.

I suspect it's the G-Card due to a crappy install (especially if the PC was on! lol)

Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't a hard drive crash. Don't know what it was, but it's fine now.

6600 is installed and running. What's this, everything running well for Nanor? Well, no, you're wrong, my graphics card isn't recieving sufficient power, so therefore it has lowered it's setting to stop a "potential system lock up" or destroying my hard-ware. At the risk of quoting docbot, :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/

Hoo hum, well, it should still be better than my 5200.

kthxbye

Erm...wait...hang on....

You were putting in a new GFX while you had your PC turned on?? If that is the case then there is quite a high probability you have damaged your hardware. Also the PC parts might be damaged aswell.
