How to install Windows Vista.

Not surprised by this actually, anyone who buys a brand new OS from microsoft immediately on release deserves all they get.

I waited 2 years before installing XP. I would like to install vista on my next upgrade, which should hopefully be in about 6 months time, but even at that, expecting vista to function normally in 6 months time is probably asking a bit much.

Having been running Vista Buisness for work for the last 8 weeks i'd say that i'm impressed with it and that it's relitively stable though there are a few bug in there still and a few occasions where it has locked up while doing something however it has come round eventually. Personally i'd say the basic MS rule of thumb stands: Don't switch till SP1 arrives.

i'm still on 2K on my main machine because it just works (and i can't be bothered upgrading) unlike my experiences with XP where i have managed to BSOD it >80% of thie time when i use it even though my parents have apparently never had it do that to them.

Having used vista last march, I have to say that while parts of it are cool, others (like drm and the security model) just annoy me. I'll end up dual booting with XP, methinks...

Anyone got a newer, non "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation." version of the link?

Yea. Ill install vista when this laptop dies, but i wont voluntarily do it. Ive spent too many an hour reinstalling all my programs and redoing configs. takes 2 / 3 days out of my time, which i just cant afford!

o dear. seems that Youtube don't like Microsoft bashing. Perhaps there is something going on here...
