Oh my word, that is AWESOME! WANT WANT WANT! >_<

Edit - After some digging (no pun intended), I found some more info on this BEAST. It is a Bucket-wheel excavator, which form some of the largest vehicles ever made. That one shown is the MAN Takraf (German company) RB293. Others include the Bagger 288.

So that's where it went!

I couldn't believe it when someone nicked it from my garage, and the police said they couldn't find it :/. Bloody Scotland Yard.

You couldn't imagine the licences needed to drive and own one of those puppies.

Well, Pia, Wikipedia says (in reference to Bucket-wheel excavators):

These tremendous machines can cost over $100 million, take 5 years to assemble, require 5 people to operate, weigh more than 13,000 tons, and have a theoretical capacity of more than 12,000 m³/h. Specifically, the RB293 bucket wheel excavator manufactured by MAN Takraf is recognised by Guinness World Records as the largest land vehicle.

And at over 13,000tons, it's a bit more than a HGV :(

Also, the RB293 on Google Maps!

There is a bigger one out there, very new! It 'walks' to it's next job with hydraulic rams that is also uses to stabalise itself.

lol wow, now that is an engineering feat, and yes I would love to own one (apart from to keep it in my garage I't would crush most of the rest of this town so might be a little hard to justify to the local counsel  ).
