Ok it seems we're going to enter the TF2 tournament. So that we actually have some people to play, we need to register our team and that team's players using clanforge, MPUK's tournament signup system.
To sign up, use the following steps:
*Go to the main iseries website: iseries.multiplay.co.uk
*On the right hand side of the website, look for the section named eSports, there are 3 links there, "Prize tournaments", "World Cyber Games" (no Nanor, not cybersex) and "Fun tournaments".
*Click on Fun tournaments, this should take you here: http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk/i37/tournaments/fun/
*Click on the "More Info" link for the Team fortess 2 section.
*Click on the word "signups" above the description, where it says "Signups are open now!" This will take you here: http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk/i37/tournaments/signup. (incidentally, there is a link on this page with the tournament rules and map list - if we want to practice, it might be worth getting a match server setup)
*Login with your multiplay user account. You will be presented with a screen containing a list of the prize winning tournaments, and saying that you are not entered for any of them (unless, of course, you have already
) There are 3 tabs, "Basic", "Prize Winning" and "Fun". Click the Fun tab.
*You will see Team Fortress 2 listed. In the drop down box, select us (The Haven Net) in the list and then click the Save button towards the bottom of the page.
Although there is still plenty of time between now and then, and we can still sign up at the tournament, I thought I would post this now. If you want to play in the TF2 tournament proper, you will not be able to play unless you are registered in that player list. The full list of teams and their players will be available much closer to the event.
If there are any other tournaments that you want to take part in, then the same signup system will be used so it might be worth familiarising yourself with the clanforge system beforehand
