[i40] Transport & Travel

As we're coming from all over, it'd be good to get an idea of travel plans and possibility of available transport.

When you know, please would you post:

• Where you're travelling from (roughly)
• What day/time you're planning to depart
• What day/time you're planning to arrive
• If you're travelling by car/van, if you've got any space for kit or people

I know it's early, but booking travel in advance is usually much cheaper so it'd be good to get some of this sorted over the next few weeks.

My answers:

• From: Eastleigh (nr. Southampton)
• Depart: mid-afternoon, Thursday
• Arrive: around an hour later
• Transport: by car, 1-2 spaces with kit

However, worth noting that I'm not staying on site; I'll be heading home each evening when I'm done, then travelling back the following morning/afternoon (depending on when I get to sleep ).

* Depart: Late morning, Thursday (Hopefully will have a car by then, so gotta find a place to park)
* Arrive: Not too sure, early afternoon? Its only like 30-40 miles from me, i think.
* Transport: by car, not sure on spaces (as i dont have one yet.)

Transport: My car, space for one other person. This would be good for navigational help.

Arrive: Probably a little before others, as has been the case the last two years...
Transport: Parents unavailable as taxis this year, so I'm hoping my brother's friend will decide to come, and drive us there. If not, I haven't the foggiest.

Haha, cheers mate, but getting anywhere with two PCs in tow with no car will be tricky, and Bath is actually twice the distance away that Newbury is xD

It is however to be avoided wherever possible.

So it turns out that I live about 40 minutes from Watford (which isn't that long by car really), and was intending on saying hi at ye olde i-Series as I do from time to time. If people require a lift from around Londonian area, and if it's at a time that I am not working, and if I'm in the country (which I'm pretty sure I will be), I would probably be able to give a couple of people a lift with their gear (as I will not be taking part of the LAN, so will not be taking computer or anything), if they still need it. Now, obviously, these are big if's, so please try and find other routes first, but if you end up in a horrible sticky mess of travel, I am throwing my hat in as an option.
