[i41] Multiplay Winter LAN

So, we're all getting back at various times of the day today and amongst all of that, Multiplay have made the following announcement:

Long story short, tickets for the next LAN are discounted 30% to £63 for the next week only.

The LAN will again be at Newbury, on the dates 12-15 November (with the 11th being EAS).

I know that myself, Solemn and quite possibly silk already have tickets (we are season ticket holders) so let us know if you do buy a ticket this early, and we can then talk about the possibility of getting a clanbox.

I doubt we'll get 22 of us again but if we get 11 then we can get half of a box, and both kalleth and WFB are interested in coming into a box with us again in future too :)

I'm up for it if we get enough people to get a clanbox again, so will see in a week before buying a ticket. It was fun having rock band and stuff setup. And its much more of a friendly atmosphere in there compared to in the larger areas I'd say.

Whichever way: if enough other people are going, ill go.

e2a: And ive got my tent and stuff now, so would be a waste to not go again :p

Yeah, not likely to work for me. I think I'll be keeping my eyes on iLite or the summer LAN 2011. However, the clan box was an excellent plan that worked well, I feel.

This is gonna have to be a no from me, work holiday schedule is a pile of mince so I can only really do one LAN a year.

Clanbox was definitely a great thing for us, hopefully we can sort out something like that again for our future excursions.

Oh. Suggestion: If we can't get 22 people (Looking at the list right now, we wont. :p) maybe we could post on the multiplay forums and combine 2 clans wanting boxes and get one together? THN on one side the other on the other?

Next time there's a larger gathering I'll come along hopefully, probably the next summer one, I really like the sound of the whole clanbox arrangement!

yea see there's quite a few people with that attitude, we need people to say "yes I'm coming" rather than 10 people saying "I'll come if everyone else does" because then no-one will buy a ticket and then no-one will come.

We already have 4 people with tickets (season ticket ftw) plus I know that WFB and kalleth expressed an interest in joining us in a clanbox again. If we need it I also know some other people from dr-ukr that would likely be happy to team up in a box with us if we needed them.

In terms of tournament play - count me out. I've done cod4 a couple of times, also TF2 and BC2, and got rolled every single time. I don't consider it fun, plus, particularly for BC2, the restrictions that they have to place on the game to make it "suitable for competitive play" are utter utter shite.
