[i42] Games

So obviously we have tf2 games, but what about an i42 civ5 game?

Think having everyone in the room with you might make it more interesting.

Any other suggestions? (obviously bc2 is out, because that hype has died down A LOT.

the problem with Civ is that it can quite happily take up a whole day - I'm not sure I want to spend a whole day of LAN playing Civ V

Classic alien swarm would be nice, for network games we dont need many cd keys (3 for reasons that will not annoy ppl ) and the dvd version to install, and we can just make a dvd with all the game files on and the ut patch, and then just install ut2004 and we're good to go.

if you have the unreal anthology any UT2k4/Unreal2 key can be used to install the whole thing iirc and i believe we found out you can have 3 of the same key on any one server at a time.
though keep an eye out as steam have 2k4 on offer every so often

The reason i specified 3 different keys was not because of server limits, but because when voting for maps in alienswarm you get as many votes as there are cd keys, so you can imagine we are 20 hours into a game, and 1 person votes,a nd if we all have same cd key, the game ends, and someone gets pissed.

Yes i did. Infact i was hanging on that from when it was first announced in 05-06, majorly dissapointed, i was playing the ut mod for 6 hours a week right up to the release (course it didnt help that it was released when i was out of the country playing wanting to play AS2004 on LAN) of the new one, the old one is way better, i think it still has more maps, and its over all a better game, you can get its game files from:

Would anyone (who is going to i42) be interested in a Blood Bowl Legue (with one computer hooked up to the Projector)? Talked to Vibs about it, and even he's interested in that.

To clarify, i'm actually interested in the league. I'm not sure about the projector bit

Projector won't work as you can't have a spectator during a live game, easier to use the option of xfire live feeds and get people to watch from there...

Could you not have someone playing with the projector just displaying their game? Provided they didn't mind their opponent seeing it all on the big screen as they make decisions etc.

Or tbh get one person watching an xfire broadcast and stick that on the projector. That way you don't have to keep changing what machine is plugged into the projector.

Would be good to see my dwarves go huge on the big screen
