Does anyone feel like getting a TF2 group together? Give the competition a go? Sure, we prob won't do too well, but would be worth doing it for the fun of it, we might even get somewhere!

If you feel like it, I was thinking of playing your best class (Plus a medic.)

Why were you thinking of playing my best class?

That's not going to do very well surely? :p

There was a reason we stopped playing the TF2 Tournament.

I'm not saying don't do it, just be very, very prepared to be demoralized at LAN.

There might be a case of Black Ops tournament if there is some way of running it at i42, otherwise we'll just end up dooing what we normally do and not participate in prize tournies.

The TF2 tournie would be a place I'd never go now. None of us are good enough to play against even the weaker teams. We'd also need to be much much tighter with the classes played. You are really normally only going to be looking at scouts medic demo and soldier. With very occasionally other classes thrown in in specific scenarios.

Where the game is 3 years old the competitive teams are very very good. Even the teams that are there for lols are pretty solid as they tend to have played in some competitive sense in that time.

I love i-series tournies but it is only worth entering them if you have a decent team otherwise it can be very very demoralising.

Not a bad suggestion to look at i-series tournies. I've taken part in 3 I think and enjoyed all of them. We actually got screwed by douchey admining in the TF2 tournie in i32 or we'd have otherwise done ok. However even then with it as a new game with some reasonable players we got owned once we hit some serious teams. That was back when it was a new game. Unless you want to make a very serious time commitment each week to competitive TF2 leading into i42 then this is a non-starter.

I would be happy to, but I doubt other people will. :)

Playing in a proper tournament takes all the fun out of a game for me, mainly because I rage at myself for being crap or other players for beign crap, and turn into an even bigger asshole than I generally always am.

Sowwy.

What rules do they use now? When I used to play there was only the original maps and none of the extra stuff or unlocks.
