[I43] Minecraft Tournament

It’s back! The awesomely successful Minecraft competition will return once again at i43, with even more crazy constructions competing for a place in the final. Be warned though, the scale of construction can only get bigger from the amazing i42 builds, so get your game face on! More info on this tournament will be announced closer to the event.

So ladies and gentlemen! I have several questions for your consideration

1) Are we going to try and defend our title
2) Are you in the team (See post)
3) Is the team big enough
4) What could we build. I'm not looking for specifics here but i'm looking for themes and ideas. Last time our entire concept came from Crystal Maze. I'm looking for a theme that enables us to do something original, not just build stuff that already exists!

Unfortunately not. Only way out is to remove the poll and try again. It might be hackable in the database, but that could be a little hazardous...

OK, bigger and better.

Fully functional fun house. Between now and then I want to see a fun house music system and character skins of pat sharp and the 2 hot twins .

I shall get the cogs turning to churn out some ideas.

What were the 5 marking "criteria" last time?

I definitely think the interactive idea worked nicely though for i42.

Apart from this one where we actually wanted 2 sides not quite enclosed.... maybe need to come up with a black box idea..... and then not build it out of that flammable wool..... or definitely make sure slanty has fire turned off

Only other option for a blackbox idea would be obsidian, and that would then have to be built into the design!

I might suggest it to slanty that the worlds are all walled in with some forms of minecart access inside

I really enjoyed Minecraft last time. Between the designated Fizzy Gloves times and HL2;DM I sometimes get a bit bored and only really have that crappy Battlefield game to play. Minecraft was fun and exciting and filled the time inbetween our gaming sessions(None of that Eve rubbish) plus, you can play solo if your on your own.

I really enjoyed Minecraft last time. Between the designated Fizzy Gloves times and HL2;DM I sometimes get a bit bored and only really have that crappy Battlefield game to play. Minecraft was fun and exciting and filled the time inbetween our gaming sessions(None of that Eve rubbish) plus, you can play solo if your on your own.

There might be some cross dependency on the pollvote table. I'm not clear what the votetype column in that table means.

I can tweak it but generally not particularly happy just poking the database directly when I have no idea what hooks to what, really. Much safer to back out and recreate the poll...

I've tweaked the value. Thanks for checking into that. If something goes horribly wrong, I'll be unsetting that again, though.

General note: mostly, just prefer if people just set it up right in the first place as changing poll public status mid-poll is unfair on those who voted prior to the privacy being lifted.

Considering that the poll was also joined with the request of "please post your minecraft IDs on here", I'd hope that people don't mind the result being public
