[Idea]Trackmania Night

Well i was wondering if we can get together a list of who has what and of course intrest - only vote if you are intrested in playing, not if you own the game. And maybe we can get together an event, Trackmania nations is a free downloadable - vote for it if you wish to take part even fi you have not yet downloaded it.

trackmania is a lot of fun and is completely free, there's also loads of map packs and car kits about to make it that little bit more fun

Yeah I enjoyed trackmania nations so much I went on to buy United. Of course, if theres a chance we can get a big group of us online to play trackmania nations then I will be up for that!

Looks like there's a good few of us who could get together for playing nations, and I'm sure we can get many more to download it and give it a shot. I reckon you should stamp down a date now Ki!ler-Mk1 and we can get this event rolling

Well, lets get the time first, and of course i assume it will be nations, i have played with fluidicspace over networked hamachi, so what u guys want to do, join public servers(alot of ppl looks kinda crazy) join ourselves together on hamachi, or get a server admin to put up a server for say friday 6:00 till sunday night 1 week, i have to say that online with lots of ppl is fun(low fps if u set cars to never hide when close) but it wouldnt be competative between us and theres a fair amount of us.

Options:
[A]Get a server on THN for a week end, i dont know about BW while playing, but the map files are TINY if we ran custom ones
Hamachi (VERY VERY Simple - tried and worked)
[C]Join public - Chaotic

setting up a server is pretty simple. I'd say avoid publics unless we can find a relatively empty one.

P.S note to self, go find my old skin packs.

count me in for nations ^^ the 100 tracks that come with it should be enough tracks that we wont ever run out unless you want to.

hmm i dunno the nations standard tracks are pretty dull.

we need some speed and trick tracks as well, although for the trackmania noobs that could be just plain nasty. And remember you don't have to have the tracks, as long as the server is all happy, you can just play.

Can you remind me how Hamachi works again?

I'm sure there are a lot of empty servers we can jump on that have some decent fun tracks to be played, and would we really mind other random people joining? Unless we want to have major competition between only ourselves

Hamachi fools your PC into thinking you're in a LAN, so you can connect to a game via LAN. It's useful if someone has stolen your CD key and can't play online.

On that note, I'll point out that while I have both Sunrise and United, I'll need to play them via hamachi.

I know its a very dumb question but any chance of running it so he can join the server, ie a net work for just him so if it goes wrong we know where to look, and besides we all "trust" the D.
