Now that I've got your attention

We have an oft forgotten irc channel on Quakenet #TheHaven and it would be great to see a few more people idling in there. Whilst we all love TeamSpeak sometimes shouting down the microphone at people is inapropriate and text shouts are prefered.

So log in, bolster our numbers in TheHaven channel and join the mayhem !

If you've never used irc before then dont be afraid to put your hand in the air and ask a few questions. I'll do my best to introduce you to one of the nets oldest technologies that is still going strong ( a sign of just how useful a tech it is ).

Anyway I'll catch you on the crispy side ...

That asside I dont actually care how people find there way into the channel just as long as they make the journey

We can talk integration and solutions in a different thread dezmond. Lets keep this one on track before the developers take over. So who's going to come and join the drivel-meisters and their filthy conversational fingers ?

mIRC is really useful for arranging on-the-spot matches. My bro used #cod.wars a lot. You just jump in, post up the type of match you are wanting (5v5/SD/server on/uk/med skill etc.) and then anyone looking for a similar game will ask you for a match. Good fun indeed. I think there are several #.wars channels for seperate games. Ive seen CS and CS, but there are probably BF2, Guild Wars etc. channels as well.

Of course its worth idling in the haven channel as well. How interesting the convos can become.

I generally only get on IRC when I need something. And I don't leave the client running all the time because I don't leave the computer running all the time.

With my internet connection revoked by my parents, I can't idle on IRC as much as I used to. With my hacked access to the internet I can log on now and then.
