If you had to design an instance..

What type of instance would it be?

My instance would be a castle themed instance in which you and your group had to siege a castle. It would start outside a castle wall with about 10 friendly NPCs. This instance would be full of scripted events, the first being that you can use a catapult which breaks down the wall and starts the instance. When the wall is broken down, about 20 enemy NPC's come running out and the PC group and the friendly NPCs fight it out. After that event, you talk to the NPC attack leader and he tells you to go along the outer wall (there are two walls) and lower the drawbridge for the attackers so they can bring the ram in. To lower the drawbridge you have to fight a Gatekeeper, a high level elite. Once he is dead the drawbridge lowers and the rest of the friendly NPCs bring in the ram. The NPCs bring the ram up to the second gate and begin pounding. While they are pounding you have to protect the ram from attackers. Once the door is broken down you're group leaves the NPCs behind you will defend from the people coming after you. Then you just have the slog against a number of groups and maybe a high level elite or two. Then you come to the main boss.

What about you guys?

That sounds like one of the Assault maps on UT2004 Nanor :).

I think they need a cheese instance. Getting attacked by Edam and Brie would be cool.

I would recreate the film legend in a vast labyrinthine complex from the world of the fae.

I'd like to see a recreation of a battle from the War of the Ancients... fighting against the first coming of the Burning Legion alongside the Night Elves and the Dragonflights... possibly one for the Caverns of Time, would be soooo awesome...

(plus you could fight alongside Illidan and Malfurion... *happy glee*)

that gives me an idea. How about recreating the movie Labyrinth in WoW? You have a hostage in the middle of a large (possibly randomly generated) maze-like area. There would be various unique encounters along the way. quite simply get there within 1hr.30 mins (note the attempt at putting a 13 there? :D)

Like a big-boys baron run.

If i were to design an instance, it would be a PVP symmetrical maze of traps and mobs ending in a boss fight or chest. The loot obtained from the boss/chest would be proportional to the amount of clearing in the run up.

Gauntlet or gladiatorial instancing whereby one has to factor in PVP to regular instancing would be immense fun i think.

If you were to design an instance it would be full of large mobs of perpetually dim (read easily sapable) monsters with HUGE pockets full of epics. Oh and it would be very badly lit so there were lots of shadowy places to hide.

Can I have an instance where the mobs are all easy to shoot in the face/set on fire (depending on whether I'm playing with Umbra or Lithy)?

Sure, you can go to the greater castle of lord papyrus and his paper followers ... there's loads of epics to be found but unfortunately they don't handle fire too well.
