in my mind an "Uneeded" infraction

Hey so I feel a little hard done by I got an infraction from "violating" rule number 3.. Now my defence is I answered a thread and all of a sudden I have a guy flaming on me hoping for me to get ran over so of course me being me gave a bit of guff back. So why am I getting the infraction if an admin could please message me that would be good.
