Ive always wondered when one of these things would be made.

It sounds an interesting thing though. Being stabbed in the back in tf2 would make me so much angrier!

Dunno how headshots would work though.....

I think this would give you an added tactical advantage to gameplay as well. I am thinking of the situation where you are being shot at by an enemy who is not in front of you. The feeling of the bullets hitting would let you know where the bullets are coming from.

You get that same thing when playing with a 5.1 headset though :)
some gamers tried to get them banned at tournaments / lans because of an 'unfair' advantage. its not unfair a 5.1 headset £30 its cheaper than some games.

isnt that pretty much the same as on some games, you can set the field of view (well im pointing fingers at portal / tf2 / orange box) from 75 to 90. If i have a nice widescreen, i'm going to see more to the left and right of me compared to someone with a smaller aspect ratio.

Is it just me or is 8 areas quite... small? as far as I can tell form the pictures, its upper belly / lower belly, left / right, back/front. Id say for it to not become particularly "stop hitting me in that exact same point please", its going to need to be a bit fuller, and have more actuators on, maybe on the arms, upper body, and maybe one on your forehead. lol.

it's an interesting start with more work thought. Couple this with that brain gaming thingy on BBC news (linked somewhere today) and your starting to see where the gaming future will be

VR anyone?

I remember seeing something ages ago about some wierd signals they can inject into your ears, and they trigger the same things that the tiny hairs in the semicircular canals trigger. so you could have some poor soul wired up to this thing, and basically screw up their balance, and make their brain think that theyre being tilted one way or the other. always looked really interesting.
