I posted a while back about how I was embarking on a brave new adventure to try Indie game development. Here's an actual shiny video update on my first game's progress.

Update: Episode 2 added!

Looks intriguing - what platform you aiming for eventually ? i.e. is this going to end up on android.

Android is a near certainty, hopefully won't be too difficult to rewrite in Java since it's in C# (albeit with XNA) at the mo.

Starter platform will be steam/PC. I'm hoping it at least gets published once it's polished enough. I'm not aiming to make big money, I'm just enjoying it for what it is.

Apple platforms are unlikely, unless I do somehow manage to make money and start a games company so I can employ an apple/objective-C dude.

Bump for great indie dev justice!

I have an update, vid 02 is up! (see OP)

No idea how I missed this the first time, looks good, aside from 'be an indie dev, yay' do you have a clear end vision of what it'll be, or will that simply be when you want to try something else?

I like the look of your game, a neat idea and nice execution! Regarding the apple point - if you end up doing a java conversion it should be trivial to get the game running and packaged as a .app package for distribution as a mac app. The only downsides with this approach are: a) the user needs to have a java runtime installed on lion or mountain lion (trivial as they will be prompted to download it on first run) and b) as far as I know, the mac app store forbids java applications.

A slightly old article by Oracle outlines the general process for packaging a java app for mac.
