Awesome Insurgency games this evening. I believe I saw all of pHatBambi, Pubic Warrior and Big D out there and we made some friends, GKiller and a mate of his (I forget the name). Loads of in-game comms, mainly playing as the US. If only I could have crashed less it would have been even more awesome.
We started out on Almaden (the one with the mosque), defending as Insurgents but rapidly ended up switching to US. Much more of a challenge. We took the alpha objective once, I think, but kept getting bogged down or ambushed by Insurgents rushing behind us and mopping us up; with them having infinite respawns, they know they can die and not worry about it. With the US on limited spawns (6?), every death counts. Still, we were getting good at pushing through the showers on the right, just couldn't turn it into anything. More practice!
Then we were playing as US on [strike]Haditha[/strike] Sinjar (the wide open one where the US start in a quarry and have to push uphill) and that was probably our best playing, 'specially as we won (okay, we outnumbered them, but their job was easier!) If only the US support weapon could be reloaded (that's a bug) then we'd really pwn them. Lots of "sniper on the bridge", "smoking", "clear, move up" coming in over VOIP. Well cool!
Ah, this is what I like about small squad teamplay games; one of the big things I play for.
Thanks for the games, guys. Looking forward to many more!
